Where can I find the Town Of Raymond's Fire Code?

The Town's Fire code is available at both the Town Office 401 Webs Mills RD and at the Public Safety Building 1443 Roosevelt Trail or by clicking here.

Why isn't the building I'm buying/renting "GRANDFATHERED"?

The term "GRANDFATHERED"  does not apply to Life Safety Code. Whenever a new owner or renter moves in and opens a business they have to bring the building up to current Life Safety Code. The owner/occupant must also apply to the State Fire Marshall's Office for a change of use or change of occupancy permit.

What is the cost and time frame to get an Inspection/Plans Review?

There is no cost for an Inspection or Plans Review. Once a request has been made to the Fire Department it will take approximately 2 weeks. The Fire Department would be more than willing to inspect/review buildings and plans on a preliminary basis to help decrease the waiting period on a final approval.

When is an Inspection, Plans Review, or permit needed?

An Inspection, Plans Review and permit is needed for all new construction, renovations, change of use and or occupancy. The State Fire Marshall's office may also need to review, Inspect and approve your plans before a occupancy permit can be giving.
